KSC starts team training after the Corona outbreak

2nd league

Karlsruhe (AP) – Still without head coach Christian Eichner, second division soccer club Karlsruher SC wants to resume team training on Friday afternoon.

After the Corona outbreak in the previous week, 15 players were able to test themselves from the quarantine, 13 of them were allowed to return after a medical examination, said a KSC spokesman for the German Press Agency. Eichner’s test was positive again on Wednesday.

First, the team should only complete an easy session, only next Monday does the KSC want to put the players under full pressure again. During the week, the uninfected professionals only trained in a small group.

Last weekend, the number of corona cases in the squad rose to 19. In addition, there had been eight positive findings in the coaching and functional team. The league game planned for last Sunday against SV Sandhausen was postponed to February 8th. For the first time in the league, KSC will play again on February 5 (1.30 p.m. / Sky) at Bundesliga relegated SV Werder Bremen.
