The exercises of the Russian military on the territory of their country should not be a matter of concern for neighboring states. About this, as the correspondent of RBC, said the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

He was asked how the Kremlin reacted to Japan’s protest against Russian exercises in the Kuriles.

“Of course, we continue the process of military construction, maneuvers, exercises throughout the geography of the Russian Federation, including the Far East. These exercises should not be a matter of concern to our neighbors,” Peskov replied.

Checking the combat readiness of military units in the Kuril region began on January 25. The military is practicing skills to counter attack and reconnaissance drones. The previous exercises on the Kuril Islands took place in November last year. Then the military conducted a training session to repel an air raid with the crews of S-300V4 anti-aircraft missile systems.
