The works lasted 80 working days and cost 908,691 euros. The province paid 228,658 euros, partly via the Flemish bicycle fund. The city of Kortrijk invested more than 680,000 euros, one third of which are subsidized through the Copenhagen Plan.
“With this project we strengthen road safety on one of the busiest cycling junctions in the city. It is a good example of how mobility, accessibility and quality of the public space go together,” says Mobility Schuihoudt ships.
