“Kommersant”: YouTube wants to oblige to report on the reasons for blocking or deleting the video
The Association of Professional Users of Social Networks and Messengers (APPSIM) proposed the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Culture to oblige foreign video services, including YouTube, to explain the reason for blocking or deleting the video. Newspaper “Kommersant” got acquainted with a letter from APPSIM dated 12 January.
APPSIM, which was created by ANO “Digital Platforms” and unites the owners of publics, groups, channels in social networks with more than 100 thousand subscribers, said that scammers often pretend to be the copyright holders of musical compositions, earn money on views and then complain about videos, in which have works, as a result, video services block them.
