Phillip Kohlschreiber failed in the round of 16 at the ATP tournament in Auckland. The man from Augsburg lost 3:6, 4:6 to Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who is number two. Kohlschreiber won the preparatory tournament for the Australian Open in 2008 and was in the final in New Zealand three years ago. As number 34, Kohlschreiber is still the German number one in the men’s world rankings.
