Professional football does not agree with the plans of the cabinet to fill stadiums by a third. This is one of the leaked relaxations that the cabinet is planning.
The KNVB, Kitchen Champion Division and Eredivisie CV informed the cabinet on Monday evening. The clubs in professional football think it is a proposal without perspective. “It is impossible to explain to the supporters, it only increases the unrest among the supporters and it also costs the clubs hands full of money again,” they write.
However, all parties indicate that they want to think along in solutions. For example, they propose to only start with 1/3 occupancy if it is possible to switch to a minimum of 2/3 occupancy from 4 February. “We can organize that safely and responsibly. With everything that goes with it. And from there we can quickly work towards full stadiums.”
