KNRM carried out fewer rescues last year due to bad summer weather

The Royal Dutch Rescue Company (KNRM) brought 3,550 people ashore safely last year. That is a lot less than a year earlier, when 4,155 people were rescued, according to figures from the KNRM. Reasons for the decrease are the bad summer weather in 2021 and the fact that a year earlier relatively many Dutch people were on holiday in their own country because of the corona crisis.
