Keller takes over from Bobic

Managing Director Christian Keller from Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln succeeds Fredi Bobic as a member of the Supervisory Board of the German Football League (DFL). The DFL announced this after the general meeting in the Kempinski Hotel in Neu-Isenburg. Previously, Klaus Filbry from Werder Bremen had also been considered a candidate.

The six-member body consists of Chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke (Borussia Dortmund), Deputy Oliver Leki (SC Freiburg; office is currently suspended due to his position as DFL Managing Director), Rüdiger Fritsch (Darmstadt 98), Stephan Schippers (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Ralf Huschen (SC Paderborn) and Keller.

Bobic resigned from his DFL post at the beginning of February after leaving as sports director of Bundesliga club Hertha BSC.
