The previously officially unpublished album Cuck by Kanye West Aka Ye – originally known as WW3 – was published on the Discord platform on Sunday, May 18, May 18, 18. The leak has not only beaten waves because of the artist, but above all because of the questionable content and the announcement of the hackers to donate income to a US Holocaust Museum.

Hack attack with a political statement

The leaked album contains problematic content, according to matching reports from “The Mirror” or “JTA”. Titles such as “Gas Chambers” and “Heil Hitler” can be found on it. Personal topics are also processed, for example in the song “Free My Kids”, in which the 47-year-old supposedly complains about his restricted contact with his children, which he is no longer allowed to see.

The publication of the record by Hacker should probably be understood as a direct announcement against the west and its regular hant-tirades online. This is underlined by the choice of the artwork: a photo from 1994 shows West with a “Say No to Nazis” shirt. The sentence is emblazoned: “A 50-year-old Loser, who promotes fascism and hate speech.” This is a kind of answer to the west of its own, now taken offline, swastika shirt that he had sold via his website for $ 20 at the beginning of the year until the shop was taken offline.

One aspect that the hackers wanted to emphasize: They explained to Discord that they wanted to give all income from the spread of the plate to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. It is still unclear whether this is really put into practice. Also, it cannot be checked whether significant sums have actually been generated.

Reactions from Kanye West and its environment

Kanye West himself reacted to the leak on X on May 19 with the words: “Someone got a hard drive, uploaded it on YouTube and said: This is Cuck. What I love to be blocked on streaming platforms that my songs are gelaked and concerts can be canceled … It proves everything I say-and why I say it.”

For YE, the leak seems to be a further confirmation of its view of the world – a view that has been providing numerous controversy for several years. In addition, a planned appearance in South Korea was recently canceled, which he apparently also interpreted as evidence of his beliefs. In another X-Post, West also wrote: “I am through with anti-Semitism.”

Meanwhile, rumors are circulating on Discord that the leaked work was not stolen by an external hacker attack. Some users claim that the record was sold from the artist’s immediate vicinity. It remains to be seen whether there is something about this claim.
