Ye, still better known as Kanye West, will only be allowed to tour Australia if he’s vaccinated. The weekly The Sidney Morning Herald announced that the rapper blocked Marvel Stadium for a concert in March. Other concerts are also planned. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has now issued a warning to Ye, saying he can only enter the country if he is fully vaccinated.
“The rules say you have to be fully vaccinated,” Morrison said, adding that those rules apply to everyone, so stars should follow them too. In Australia, all foreign travelers are required to be vaccinated. The case of tennis player Novak Djokovic also made it clear that no exceptions are made. He was promptly sent back home recently after entering the country.
Vaccination status at Ye is still questionable
West’s vaccination status is still questionable in the eyes of the Australian government. In 2020, he openly admitted to believing in one of the many conspiracy theories circulating that we would be microchipped through vaccination. He said, ‘They want to microchip us and do everything they can to keep us from going to heaven.'” However, during his appearance during the Drink Champs, he explained that he had had a dose of the vaccine injected.
Ye recently announced the release date of his new album. DONDA 2 is the continuation of its predecessor DONDA. It is scheduled for release on February 22 this year. West is scheduled to headline the Coachella Festival in April.
