Kane raves about Rummenigge, Müller and Tuchel

Harry Kane is Bayern Munich’s new superstar. After his first few weeks, the Englishman has arrived in Munich perfectly. Not only did his first goal for the German record champions on the first day of the Bundesliga help, but also the many discussions with important Bayern figures.

Supervisory board member and club icon Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was one of those FC Bayern players who did everything they could to get Harry Kane into the Bundesliga in the past few weeks. Rummenigge, who has only been back as an active player at Säbener Straße for a few months, was in personal contact with the centre-forward to convince him of a change.

These talks were extremely important for Kane, as he explained in an interview with “Bild am Sonntag”: “Mr Rummenigge told me how the club is run, how important the fans are. That the club is like a family sei: Almost everyone in the club knows everyone. The fans get very close to us players. But he also explained to me how great the pressure is at Bayern: They expect titles here. Actually, more than one.”

Rummenigge “explained the mentality of the German record champions very well” to him. Kane is sure that he can only get better with it.

The 30-year-old has also been in close contact with his new head coach Thomas Tuchel in recent weeks. “We met a few times in the Premier League. When we met in the summer, I was immediately impressed by his energy,” admitted the Bundesliga record transfer: “Thomas Tuchel is bursting with ideas, he has a great personality. It’s me It’s important to have a good relationship with the coach. The foundation for this was laid early on.”

FC Bayern: Kane has already agreed a round of golf with Müller

In the first meeting, Tuchel made it clear to him what plans he had in store for him, “where he sees me exactly and that I should give the team more depth, i.e. play a clearer number 9 than often at Tottenham”.

In addition to Rummenigge and Tuchel, fellow player Thomas Müller has been a valuable support so far. Harry Kane should also get along well off the pitch with the Bayern veteran, as they both enjoy playing golf in their free time.

A round with Müller has already been “firmly agreed”, according to Kane: “I hope that we will find the time for it next week. The places should be very close and beautiful.”

“Müller took very good care of me from the start. On the pitch, he really does everything with his eyes, his head, this unique feeling,” enthused the center forward in the “Bild” interview: “He already has so many players come and go at FC Bayern. And yet he approached me immediately with his openness. He can push the whole team with his experience and I’m looking forward to getting to know him better.”
