Jumping of the Four Hills Tournament in Innsbruck canceled – ski jumping – winter sports

The trial run, which was actually planned for 12 noon, had to be canceled due to the strong wind. Then it caught the competition too. Initially, the jury had postponed the start of the knockout duels to 1:50 p.m., then to 2:10 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Finally, 3:00 p.m. was targeted as the start time.

But even this could not be held. The foehn weather did not calm down, jumping would have been simply too dangerous in these changing conditions. A later start is not possible in Innsbruck due to the lack of floodlights, it would simply be too dark on the landing slope.

“Plan B”: Two competitions in Bischofshofen

Now comes as the “Plan BAccording to this, two competitions will take place in Bischofshofen. Pertile cited the floodlights there and the associated greater flexibility as the reason.

On Wednesday there will be the qualification at 1 p.m., followed by the competition from 4.30 p.m. The day after that, at 2.30 p.m., the qualification for the final competition should start. This takes place from 5.30 p.m.
