“My name is José Boon (1989) and I am a general editor. I studied history with a master’s degree in Public History. After my studies, I first worked for the municipality, and after a few years I followed a journalism study. In the spring of 2020 I quit my job and started as a freelance journalist. I have been working at NU.nl since March 2021. As an editor in general I have a broad orientation. I make news choices and write news about the Netherlands, abroad and politics. Historical news remains fascinating, but current politics also attracts my attention.”
