A tsunami hit the coast of Japan. The threat of a wave that could reach three meters was previously reported by the Japan Meteorological Administration.

The Japanese islands of Amami and Tokara in the Pacific Ocean are under attack. The tsunami was caused by the eruption of an underwater volcano near the islands of Tonga.
