Children no longer have to wear a mouth mask in play zones of the indoor playground. But in primary school it is still compulsory all day long. How long? Children find the cloth difficult and especially dirty after seven hours of class. The cap obligation must be removed as soon as possible, say pedagogue Pedro De Bruyckere, education minister Ben Weyts and even virologist Steven van Gucht. “But now the masks still help to keep the schools open.” The question remains: when will the virus threat be enough?
