No evidence of the intentional complicity of the former employees of the temporary detention center (IVS) in Istra in the escape of five prisoners, including the alleged killer of the “sausage king” Alexander Mavridi, has not been received following the investigation. This was stated by the head of the Department of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region Alexander Starikov in interview TV channel “Russia 24”.
“We have completed the investigation in fact against the staff of the IVS. We came to the conclusion that an intentional complicity, which would be precisely a criminal complicity, [нет]We have not received such evidence, ”he said.
At the same time, Starikov noted, the department has enough evidence of the negligent attitude of ex-employees of the IVS to their duties. “As far as I have already been informed, some measures have already been taken to ensure that the situation related to the load and some technical points that could prevent all these phenomena has already changed,” he said.
After escaping from the IVS in Istra, the SK opened a case against two employees, as well as the acting head of the detention center under Part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code (“Exceeding official powers, entailing grave consequences”). They are charged. The acting head of the detention center admitted his guilt.
According to the investigation, the interim head of the IVS ordered that the accused in one criminal case be placed in one cell. In this regard, according to the UK, they were able not only to communicate with each other and develop a strategy for their defense in order to complicate the course of the investigation of the case, but also to develop a plan to escape from custody.
