The federal government’s integration commissioner, Reem Alabali-Radovan (SPD), visited a corona vaccination campaign in Berlin on Saturday.

“It is important that everyone gets it: Vaccination helps. Even if people don’t speak German as their mother tongue,” said Alabali-Radovan. “Especially in the medical field, multilingual education is important.”

Migrants have similar concerns and fears as everyone else. “The language barrier is the biggest obstacle. Trust can be gained in the mother tongue,” said Alabali-Radovan.

According to the information provided, the Deutschlandstiftung Integration organized information days on the corona pandemic in the Gesundbrunnen-Center Wedding and in the Neukölln Arcaden on three Saturdays in January together with Radio Metropol FM and the Berlin Society of Turkish Medical Doctors as part of the “Stop Corona” project.
