The Turkish Ministry of Health has canceled mandatory PCR testing for those who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 when boarding a plane, bus or other mode of transport. Also, the test will not be needed before attending concerts, performances or movies, informs edition of Haberde Bugun.

According to the order of the Ministry of Health, mandatory PCR testing in transport and in public places has been canceled for people who have completed an incomplete vaccination course (1 dose) and who have not had COVID-19 in the last 180 days. In addition, tests have been canceled for government employees, private sector workers and school staff.

Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Eksi separately informed on Twitter that the carrier will no longer require PCR tests on domestic flights. “In accordance with the decision taken by our competent authorities, the requirement to provide PCR tests on domestic flights is canceled for all our passengers,” he wrote. But to board the plane, you will need to present a HES code (the Turkish equivalent of a QR code).
