The day before, the incidence in the capital has almost doubled. The Moscow authorities explained the jump by the introduction of a new methodology for recording new cases. Now, in addition to PCR tests, the calculation will take into account not only positive PCR tests, but also the results of rapid tests conducted in the clinic, which showed the presence of an antigen to the pathogen.

Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the peak of the spread of “omicron” has passed in the capital, as the number of those who have contracted the coronavirus or been hospitalized with it is decreasing. According to him, the number of new cases of the disease last week decreased by 6%, and this will be even more significant.
