In the Altai Territory, a criminal case was opened after unknown persons shot a herd of horses. This was reported to RBC by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As they said in the department, on January 9, a resident of the village of Alekseevka, Petropavlovsk district, turned to the police. He said he found 53 of his horses dead.

Animals shot, specified TASS in the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Horses grazed between the villages of Solonovka and Kamyshenka. The latter is located about 25 km from Alekseevka, where the owner lives.

The case was initiated on the deliberate destruction or damage of someone else’s property (part 1 of article 167 of the Criminal Code). The maximum punishment for it is imprisonment for up to two years.
