According to Sain, on January 7, a car with four children was driving along Seifullin Street in Alma-Ata. At the intersection with Satpayev Street, the car came under fire. As a result, a 4-year-old girl died.

The day before, Sain reported that an 11-year-old child had died from a shot in Alma-Ata. He walked with his parents on January 5 and came under fire. A 15-year-old teenager was also injured and was hospitalized with severe gunshot wounds. The car in which he was traveling with his father was fired upon.
