The Uruguayan striker remembers that his departure from Barça caused tears in Leo

Luis Suarezex of FC Barcelona now in the ranks of Nacional de Montevideo, has ensured that “I had never seen Messi cry like I saw him at Barcelona”, in reference to his departure from the Barça entity at the end of the 2019-20 season. The charrúa made these statements in one of the special programs of Star + dedicated to the World Cup in Qatar.
Reviewing his time at Barça, Suárez recalled his goodbye to Barça after six glorious years: “We had a bad time, Leo suffered a lot, I had never seen Messi cry like I saw him cry at Barcelona, it hurt him. I always had that uncertainty about why it all happened, but then luckily I was happy at Atlético de Madrid”.
In any case, Suárez also remembered very good moments: “When I arrived at Barcelona I told Leo that I was coming to win, not to take anyone’s place. He realized that what I was telling him was sincere, and the relationship grew. What makes you happy at that stage It was the happiness that the three of us had (Messi, Neymar and Suárez) for a goal scored by one of the other two, and the humility that there was when it came to sharing things”.

His departure from Barça
Of his last days in Barcelona, Suárez pointed out that “I went, I showed up to train and they sent me to train separately, I suffered a lot and came home and cried because of how he had treated me.
