After his last home game for FC Bayern, the club veteran takes the floor-and also addresses an emotional appeal to his teammates. The speech by Thomas Müller in the wording.

“Yes, dear people … (applause, Thomas Müller has to take a deep breath) yes, we all knew that this day would come. I also knew it and I am very happy about it – that we have this bowl again in Munich! (Cheers in the stadium).

Yes, it is … on the one hand it may be for many people, even for me, when you see it on one side, a difficult moment, but also a very, very nicer.

I have to say: this appreciation that you all gave me all is once (again in the stadium). If you think about what the past 25 years has happened, with the whole club … The most makes me speechless – yes, well, maybe not speechless, it is not so easy (laughter in the stadium) – but when I look at the stadium: stadium always full, no matter, regardless of whom it is possible, whether on Wednesday, Saturday, snow – always full. Even if you see it from the outside: the whole world looks to Munich and envies us for this football stadium. This is a temple, and you also make it what it ultimately represents (applause).

The development of the association, if you let it melt on your tongue … I was allowed to participate, was allowed to help. But if you look at this: we have arrived in the top in European football, we have bitten ourselves. It is not a gift to fight for the highest prices every year, but we managed to position ourselves like this … Yes, now I have lost the thread …

I wanted to thank people. Among people who have endured me over the years. It’s not always easy with me, I can also be relatively exhausting, always with a wink in the end. I like people very much, even with whom I sometimes discuss hard … and when I think about what I will miss: Of course, this feeling when you score a goal in this full stadium. This is priceless, nobody can give you that, not even afterwards. But above all the encounters. The encounters with players.

When I think a bit out of the cabin, what there is to tell … starting with Franck Ribéry, who wanted to throw the sweaty socks in your face after training … Thank God he spared me with any stinky fishing in the suitcase. Or the new generation-Jamu (looks at Jamal Musiala) and so on, who want to tell you at the beginning of the season, who will be NBA champion and what you can get on it for blatant moves.

Of course also thanks to all sponsors, to everyone who also adhere to me when it got a bit tighter. Yes, I will miss it, and yet, I think we can look into the future positively. When I look at the team, I see a lot of young, hungry players who also give their heart for FC Bayern.

I think we are well positioned, and yet I will appeal to everyone who will be here next year or in the next few years: tear your ass open. This is something bigger than you can imagine for yourself (applause).
