An exciting match develops between Novak Djokovic and a tournament surprise. At times, however, a famous actor attracts attention – unintentionally.
Through a at times hard fought 6: 7 (6: 8), 6: 2, 7: 5, 6: 4 victory, tennis superstar Novak Djoković is once more among the last four of Wimbledon. The 38-year-old record-Grand Slam winner had a lot of trouble with tournament supervision Flavio Cobolli, but in the end it was clear.
The quarter-final match on the traditional Center Court from Wimbledon captivated the audience. Only one gave the impression that it was not quite as impressed by the action on the legendary lawn for a moment: Hollywood star Hugh Grant.
Five points were played in the tie-break, the first set in the duel between the Serbs and the Italian was on knife cutting, the cameras briefly show the British film actor in the Royal Box. And this hung in a casual posture in the seat, slightly inclined to the side, the eyes under the dark sunglasses apparently closed – as if it had fallen asleep for a short time.
Previously, Grant had presented himself well with the classic lawn and followed the events on the Center Court in the best company. With England’s Queen Camilla and her sister Annabel Elliot, who was sitting right in front of him, the 64-year-old held a relaxed chat. The two of them may have then forgiven his little moment of rest on a long tennis day on the London facility.
Djoković, however, was not distracted by the events in the stands. The Serbian old star hit the Italian outsider and moved into the semi -finals against co -favorite Jannik Sinner in four sets.
