Surgery necessary

His number two, Matheo Raab, will not be available to Hamburger SV in the coming months. The 25-year-old goalkeeper fractured the carpal bone in his right hand during training and required surgery. The Rothosen wrote of “bad news”.
Raab came to HSV from 1. FC Kaiserslautern on a free transfer in the summer of 2022 and has played 22 games since then. This season he has been between the posts four times in all competitions and kept one clean sheet. In the meantime, he had relegated Daniel Heuer Fernandes (32) to the bench. After a long-term pneumonia, he had to make room again and only replaced Fernandes this year when he had adductor problems.
