HSV supervisory board Dinsel retires

Entrepreneur Detlef Dinsel is retiring from the supervisory board of HSV Fußball AG, thereby eliminating one of the biggest controversial issues at second division soccer team Hamburger SV.

The club confirmed this to several Hamburg media after a conversation between Dinsel and the board members of the parent club HSV eV

The new composition of the supervisory board of the outsourced professional football company is such a big issue at HSV that even the general meeting of the shareholders was canceled two weeks ago without any result.

The head of the supervisory board, Marcell Jansen, is president of the majority shareholder HSV eV and would like to keep Dinsel on the supervisory board. However, fans, members and other shareholders such as the investor Klaus-Michael Kühne see the entrepreneur very critically.

During HSV’s most recent away game in Heidenheim (3-3), Hamburg fans held up a poster that read “For a board of directors free of the Dinsel”. According to information from the “Hamburger Abendblatt”, the next meeting of the shareholders will take place on February 24th.
