HSV reservist Bilbija is moving to SC Paderborn – is Elfadli not coming?

Transfer plus for hamburgers

After the surprise signing of ex-national player Max Kruse without a club, SC Paderborn went on the offensive again. As first the “Picture” reported and has now been officially confirmed, the second division Filip Bilbija has secured from Hamburger SV.

The 23-year-old attacker did not travel to the training camp of the North Germans in Austria, instead his path now leads to Paderborn. “Filip fits perfectly with our game philosophy. He runs very well and can be used flexibly on offense. His commitment makes us even more variable in the front row,” said SCP Managing Director Sport Benjamin Weber.

According to reports, the transfer fee should level off at 400,000 to 500,000 euros. HSV thus recorded a transfer plus. Bilbija moved from Ingolstadt to the Elbe free of charge in 2022, but hardly played any sporting role. Only 16 short appearances over a total of 165 minutes are recorded – he scored one goal. No information was given about his new contract term.

Paderborn had already made the permanent signing of Hamburg defensive all-rounder Maximilian Rohr (28) perfect. In addition, midfielder David Kinsombi (27), the second most expensive HSV purchase in the second division, came from Sandhausen. The “Rothosen”, on the other hand, continue to work on a commitment from Magdeburg’s defensive midfielder Daniel Elfadli (26), who should come as an alternative to Jonas Meffert (28). However, a breakthrough in poker seems far away at the moment – although the man being courted would like to move to Hamburg.

FCM managing director Otmar Schork presented to the “MDR” clear that Elfadli should by no means go – as of now: “I explained to Jonas Boldt (HSV sports director; ed.) on Saturday that we will not give him up.” An official request from the manager had previously been received. “I know that Daniel will be disappointed in the first step. But he also knows that he has agreed to take the next steps with us and we are totally convinced that he will build on the performance of last season,” stressed Schork.

HSV is looking for a new right-back: progress at Castro-Montes

It was recently reported that HSV would pay between 300,000 and 400,000 euros. Apparently, Magdeburg does not want to be satisfied with that. The two-time Libyan international, who contributed three goals in 26 games for FCM last season, is said to have already been approaching Hamburg.

Are looking for a new right-back according to the “Hamburger Abendblatt” KAA Gents Alessio Castro-Montes (26) and Sturm Graz’ Jusuf Gazibegovic (23) are the hottest HSV candidates. Both professionals would each cost around 2 million euros. The flexible Castro-Montes actually wants to switch to a first division, but after a conversation with coach Tim Walter and those responsible, he is now tending to switch to the German second division team. As a prerequisite for a transfer, the professional would like to be part of a squad ready for promotion, it is said.
