Replacement after Grave failure
“We definitely want to get another goalkeeper,” said VfL Bochum coach Thomas Reis recently after the shoulder injury of substitute goalkeeper Paul Grave (21), who has been out for a long time. “If you bring in a younger one, we would block Paul Grave. If you bring in an older player, he should know that he is not number one or two.” The choice has now fallen on Marko Johansson (24) from Hamburger SV.

As the “Hamburg evening paper“, the “picture” and “WAZ“ report, the Swedish goalkeeper is facing a one-year loan to Revierklub. Johansson said goodbye to his HSV colleagues on Wednesday afternoon. The keeper is under contract with Hamburg until 2025.
Johansson played seven games for HSV last season, but was dropped from the squad for one game due to allegedly poor training performance and fell out of favor as a result. For a long time, however, there was no buyer for Johansson, who was hired by Malmö FF for EUR 600,000 in the summer of 2021.
