HSV fails against bottom team VfL Osnabrück

Hamburger SV lost important points in the promotion race. Hamburg lost in the last minute against VfL Osnabrück.

In the promotion race of the 2nd Bundesliga, HSV was unable to take advantage of the competition’s mistakes on Sunday. The Hanseatic League lost 1:2 (1:1) at home against bottom team VfL Osnabrück.

Lukas Kunze gave the guests an early lead in the Volkspark (6th minute). Robert Glatzel equalized with a penalty kick shortly before the break (45th + 2). VfL captain Maxwell Gyamfi was sent off 76th in the second half with a yellow-red card. But Hamburg were no longer able to take advantage of their superiority. On the contrary: Shortly before the end, Michaël Cuisance also scored the winning goal for Lower Saxony with a penalty kick.
