Dresden plans to borrow and sell
After the MLS club Philadelphia Union and SC Paderborn, there is apparently another interested party for Oliver Batista Meier. According to “Sky”, Hamburger SV is looking at the offensive midfielder from SC Verl, who is the top scorer in the 3rd division with nine goals and ten assists.

It was recently reported that parent club Dynamo Dresden wanted to bring the 22-year-old back from his loan in the winter using a clause in order not to further strengthen their direct competitor in the promotion race, especially since the SGD is still paying part of the salary. After 18 matchdays, Dynamo are in second place with 37 points, with Verler right behind, seven points behind. The plan is to sell Batista Meier, who was signed by FC Bayern II for 300,000 euros at the beginning of 2022 and signed a contract until 2025, for a profit. We are talking about a range of 600,000 to 700,000 euros plus bonuses.
With dual leadership: The top 10 most valuable players in the 3rd league
The deciding factor could be HSV coach Tim Walter, who knows Batista Meier, who is currently valued at 450,000 euros but is expected to rise in the next third division update on December 28th, from his time in Munich. The right-footer played 26 games under Walter, in which he scored eight goals and eleven assists. The contact between the two has never been broken and they continue to exchange ideas regularly to this day. However, it remains to be seen whether Walter will still be the coach of the “Rothosen” in the January transfer phase. There have been discussions about this in the TM community for days and the club is said to have already exchanged ideas with other trainers such as André Breitenreiter.
The negotiating partner at Dynamo Dresden is also known to HSV: sports director Ralf Becker worked as sports director at the “Rothosen” for a year from May 2018. With his former club he recently implemented the transfers of Ransford Königsdörffer (22/23 for 1.2 million euros to HSV) and Robin Meißner (23/24 to Dynamo on a free transfer).
