For keel game
In the current season, new signing Marko Johansson has proven to be a reliable substitute for regular keeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes (29) at Hamburger SV. The Swedish goalkeeper held up passably in seven second division appearances, but made gross blunders in friendlies. HSV coach Tim Walter has now taken the 23-year-old out of the professional squad for the upcoming game against Holstein Kiel (Sun., 1:30 p.m.). Something similar happened recently with loan striker Mikkel Kaufmann (21) in the away game in Düsseldorf (1: 1) – but the Dane was part of the team again immediately afterwards.
Correction: At first there was talk of a deletion until the end of the season – but Walter officially only spoke of the Kiel game. The first version went on one Report of the “image” return.
Johansson will not travel to Kiel with HSV, where the Hamburgers are playing for what is probably their last chance in the fight for promotion. “It’s more about mentality. Marko still has things to learn. He’s still a young goalkeeper and things are different. And if we can still push him and he learns that, then he’ll get even better than he already is,” says Walter of the “Picture” quoted.
The previous number three, Tom Mickel (32), will move into the squad instead of the goalkeeper who was signed for 600,000 euros from Malmö – this was the case in the past games against Paderborn (1: 2) and Aue (4: 0). According to reports, Walter criticizes poor training performance at Johansson and misses the necessary seriousness.
