HSV brings in a new central defender

Second division soccer team Hamburger SV has presented its fourth new signing for the coming season.

Central defender Dennis Hadzikadunic (24) moves to Hamburg on loan. The Bosnia-Herzegovina international is still under contract with Russian club FK Rostov, but uses a special FIFA regulation for foreign players in Russia, who can suspend their contract there.

In the last two seasons, Hadzikadunic had already used the rule and let himself be loaned out. He first played for Malmö FF in his native city and most recently played for RCD Mallorca in Spain in the second half of last season.

HSV had previously announced the commitments of offensive all-rounder Levin Öztunali (from Union Berlin), playmaker Immanuel Pherai (Eintracht Braunschweig) and central defender Guilherme Ramos (Arminia Bielefeld).
