Second division soccer team Hamburger SV has prematurely extended the contract with defensive player Moritz Heyer, which is due to expire next summer, for a further three years until 2026.
Heyer, who will be 27 next Monday, switched from VfL Osnabrück to the Hanseatic League in 2020.
“Moritz has established himself as an absolute regular player and top performer and gives our team a special stability,” said HSV sports director Michael Mutzel. So far, Heyer has played in 60 out of a possible 64 competitive games for the North Germans.
