HSV announces next newcomer

Second division soccer team Hamburger SV continues to work on the squad for the Bundesliga promotion mission.

As announced by HSV on Tuesday evening, right-back Ignace Van der Brempt (21) is moving to the Hanseatic city on loan from Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg. The Belgium U21 international is already the fifth new signing of the summer.

“With his player profile, Ignace fits perfectly into our plans: he has played in top teams in recent years, so he is used to the constant pressure to succeed and perform,” said Claus Costa, director of professional football at HSV: “He also brings the physical, technical and tactical skills requirements for the 2nd Bundesliga and, despite his young age, has already gained international experience at the highest level.”
