Prime Minister calls on not to go shopping across the border

THE HAGUE – The hard lockdown that has been in force since Sunday has been approved in majority by the House of Representatives, albeit grumbling. Although the number of positive tests is currently decreasing, the government and advisers are very concerned about the rapid emergence of the omicron variant. That variant now accounts for 10 to 15 percent of infections in the Netherlands, but the RIVM predicts that omicron will be dominant before January.
