Hoffenheim’s DFB star David Raum explains his cheering tattoo

David Raum crowned his excellent performance against FC Augsburg with a goal. The winger cheered the goal by showing off his latest tattoo. After the final whistle, he explained what it was all about.

After his goal to make it 3-1 in stoppage time, David Raum pulled his shirt neck down. The DFB national team player of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim explained what exactly could be seen after the final whistle in the Bundesliga match against FC Augsburg. “I got the phrase ‘Living the Dream’ tattooed during the winter break,” said the 23-year-old in an interview with Sky on Saturday evening.

Since moving from Fürth to Kraichgau last summer, Raum has had a steep career. “I kept saying in interviews that I was living my dream at the moment. The last year has been amazing for me,” said the left winger. “I came from the second in the first division to the national team. I live the dream of every little football boy in Germany, and that’s why the slogan fits very well. The goal celebration was the right time to show the slogan.”

Against Augsburg, Raum was one of the best of his team. He has now completed three international matches. In this form he is a hot World Cup candidate for national coach Hansi Flick.
