H&M unveils the first look of the Mugler collaboration

H&M has unveiled the first look of its upcoming collaboration with the house of Mugler, confirming that the collection, designed by Mugler’s Creative Director Casey Cadwallader, will launch on May 11th.

Last month, the Swedish fashion chain announced that Mugler would be its next collaboration with a well-known fashion designer. The brand follows brands and designers such as Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Moschino, Balmain, Lanvin, Simone Rocha, Isabel Marant and Giambattista Valli.

The Mugler H&M collection will embody the “essence of Mugler,” the retailer said in a statement, and will include women’s and men’s fashion and accessories at affordable prices.

Mugler x H&M is out May 11th

H&M adds that talks for the collaboration began even before Manfred Thierry Mugler’s death in January 2022. The collection will “merge the House’s history with its present and future” and will offer various Mugler classics and signatures.

The first campaign image shows that Mugler’s classics include unique, curve-hugging jeans, sexy skimpy bodysuits, body-con dresses and tailored denims. H&M added that the collection is the “recognizable Mugler fit of today”, with broad shoulders, a focus on the waist and an ode to the curves and lines of the body.
