Higher Muheim clause for HSV – third most expensive transfer in second division times?

Specific considerations for purchase

According to a report, at HSV Miro Muheim (23) rates the performance as positive. This could mean that the loaned left-back will stay with HSV beyond the season. However, the price to be paid to FC St. Gallen would then be higher than previously thought.

The “image“-Zeitung reports that the purchase option that the Hamburgers have for Muheim amounts to 2 million euros. Three quarters of this sum had previously been assumed. With a view to the most expensive transfers of the “Red Pants” in their traditional history, the Swiss would not be among the highest paid in the past, but among the three highest transfers since relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga (2018). Only David Kinsombi and Xavier Amaechi have been more expensive since then. HSV also paid 2 million euros for Ewerton (all three in the 19/20 season) (2nd division since 2018/29: all HSV transfers by season). With a conceivable rise, the classification would of course be different.

The step is questionable in view of the future return of Tim Leibold (23, contract until), who Muheim has represented on the left defensive side since October after his cruciate ligament rupture, but the HSV officials are seriously and concretely dealing with a permanent commitment, it is said. The player was able to convince more and more recently.

It should be possible to finance the 2 million, after all, you have practically saved recently on the transfer market and I think they would be well invested.
Miro already knows the team, is now well established and arrived, you know what you have in him.
You would also have to invest for a new player and then he doesn’t have the advantages mentioned above and Miro does his job well, I think. Vuskovic’s KO worries me more. …
