Hertha BSC | Stevan Jovetic calls out “decisive games”.

In a Bundesliga season that has been completely screwed up so far, striker Stevan Jovetic is still one of the few bright spots in Table 14. Hertha BSC. The Montenegrin wants to help take clear steps forward with the Berliners in the coming weeks.

Who would have thought that Hertha would face extremely groundbreaking games against the two promoted teams VfL Bochum (February 4th, 1-1 last Friday) and SpVgg Greuther Fürth (February 12th)?

This year, the focus should actually be on the upper half of the table, instead the goal for the season after 21 of 34 game days is simply: Relegation.

For Berlin’s striker Jovetic it is clear that against Bochum and Fürth the foundation stone for the rest of the second half of the season will be laid. The veteran promised in an interview with “Sport Bild”: “We must and will improve. The next two games are very important: Fürth is behind us, Bochum just ahead of us. These two games will be decisive for the progress of our season. “

Jovetic admitted that the current situation with only three points ahead of the relegation place is tricky, but pointed out in the interview that the old lady is only six points behind a single-digit place in the table.

“This year we want to end up in the middle of the table and then build on that,” the 32-year-old recalled of Hertha BSC’s actual goal for the season.

The 62-time national player has played in all top five leagues in Europe during his active career and has scored goals in Italy, Spain, France, England and Germany.

Röber as “one of the most important coaches” for the Hertha striker

Above all, Jovetic described Hertha’s legendary coach Jürgen Röber as a decisive person for his professional career. The offensive man immediately explained the reason for this: “Jürgen Röber was one of the most important coaches of my career. He was my first coach at Partizan Belgrade. I was 16 and was allowed to make my debut in the first team under him. It wasn’t easy, it was over youngsters to join the professionals. Röber helped me a lot, always encouraged me, gave me a lot of self-confidence.”

The now 68-year-old Röber celebrated his greatest coaching successes in Germany during his time at Hertha BSC between 1996 and 2002. He was employed at Partizan Belgrade in the 2005/2006 season.
