It is a product of the Jumbo brand and it is recommended that all those allergic to these nuts refrain from consuming it.
The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has warned people with allergies to peanuts and cashews of the presence of these in a mix of salt-free nuts of the brand Jumbo, which did not inform about this in the labeling.
This product has been sold to several countries, Spain being one of them, and has been distributed mainly in the Valencian Community. The notification came from Netherlands, that during an internal control of the company the presence of these nuts that were not included in the labeling was detected and therefore they decided notify the authorities.
The health alert has been sent through the fast channel of the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI) to withdraw these products from the market. AESAN, through Twitter, has given all the data about the product.
