Handball EM: No ghost games for Germany

The German handball players are allowed to play in front of spectators at the European Championship.

For the games in Bratislava, where the DHB team plays their preliminary rounds and, if they advance, also the main round games, the responsible Slovak authorities have approved a maximum occupancy rate of 25 percent. This was announced by the EM organizers of the European Handball Federation.

This means that up to 2500 fans can follow the encounters in the Slovak capital live.

All spectators must be vaccinated and wear an FFP2 mask at all times. The same rules apply to the second Slovakian venue Kosice.

There are currently no viewer restrictions in the Hungarian host cities of Budapest, Debrecen and Szeged.
