Hackers hacked the servers of the International Red Cross

Hackers hacked into the servers of the International Committee of the Red Cross, informed organization on the site.

A “sophisticated cyberattack” occurred this week. The hackers gained access to the personal information of more than 515,000 people, who provided at least 60 national committees of the Red Cross.

The organization noted that the purpose of the cyberattack was a third-party company with which the committee entered into an agreement for data storage. There is no information yet on who was involved in the hack. The data has not yet been published.

Due to a cyberattack, the Red Cross shut down the systems that underlie the program to restore family links.
