Gorilla drivers were not allowed to go on strike

For a new right to strike and better working conditions!

Three former employees of the Gorillas delivery service went before the Berlin labor court on Wednesday after they were fired without notice after a wildcat strike in October 2021, including Duygu Kaya (33). The native Turk at a rally shortly before the trial begins: “It is the recognition of fundamental rights that we are talking about here.”

The court considered two of the extraordinary terminations to be effective. Participation in a strike is only legal if it is supported by a union, it said.

Lawyer Benedikt Hopmann does not want to give up: “We will use all possibilities.” If necessary, up to the Federal Constitutional Court or the European Court of Justice.
