Google makes the free G Suite legacy service paid! – Breaking News news

In addition to its dominance in the field of search engines, Google also offers various services to its users. The free use of G Suite, which the company launched 16 years ago, is pulling the plug on the legacy.

The company is making changes to the application that it launched in 2006 as Google Apps, which was later changed to G Suite.

For many years, this service for businesses and schools had a free version called legacy. The company stopped receiving new free memberships in 2012, but kept old memberships intact.

In 2020, G Suite was replaced by Google Workspace. The umbrella organization Alphabet will now close the free version called legacy. Users were advised to switch to a paid option by May 1. Otherwise Google will automatically migrate accounts. The company stated that the membership model will be selected based on the services currently used.

If the account does not have a payment method, Google will suspend the account for 60 days.

Google is ending the use of the free version on July 1st.
