On Thursday, April 28, 2022 – Girls’ Day and Girls’ Future Day – the junior campus the Technical University of Lübeck offers an exciting program on campus for schoolgirls from the 5th grade upwards. High tech in the kitchen? Sure, of course! What is food technology? How does artificial intelligence actually work and how can you use it for yourself? What does sustainability have to do with Instagram? Ever heard of storytelling? What do a water glass and a wind turbine gearbox have in common? Plastics analysis – what is that? And how do you create a 3D print?
These are just some of the questions the girls grapple with. Girls’ Day also provides information about TH Lübeck, the range of courses it offers and possible career prospects. After a brief introduction to the respective topic, things get going straight away: the girls research and experiment without complicated formulas in order to get an impression of what is and is happening at a technical university.
