Around 65 guests from business, science, education, foundations, network partners, employees of the TH Lübeck and young researchers came together on February 17, 2025 to jointly Junior campus To experience hands-on phenomena. They were able to try out the experiments in a playful way and get to the bottom of many questions: What happens when the lightning strikes? Can you hear electricity? Are secret writings really secret? Bridges – why don’t you overthrow?

Encourage children for mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology

After a greeting by the President of TH Lübeck, Dr. Muriel Helbig, through Jürgen Tchorz (head of the junior campus) and by Andre Schulte (chairman The island – children in Seelennot e. V.), the rush at the experimental stations was great. “I am here for the first time with my daughter Cara,” says Anne Loose, who is currently inspecting the station “The Infinite Tone Leader” with Cara. “I find it important to inspire my daughter even before schooling for MINT issues.”

Over 2,700 young researchers in the next three weeks

The rush to the hands-on phenomena is great: over 2,700 children have registered in the next three weeks. On around 1000 square meters, the junior campus in buildings 1 of the TH Lübeck offers over 50 exciting experiments to try out yourself. From the screaming box over the Beuchet chair, bottle trains, steam engines, bridges, human soap bubbles to three-color shadows and the view of infinity is something for everyone.
