Tim Hofman’s girlfriend does not belong to the group of people who are cautious about air travel due to concerns about the climate. To attend some event about comic books, Lize Korpershoek flew all the way to New York and is now on a city trip there. There’s just something smelly about it…

Diarrhea attack

Lize got a nice bagel in Manhattan yesterday, but that had terrible consequences. “I got this heavily buttered bagel and it was really tasty,” she wrote Instagram stories.

This buttered bagel may have contained bacteria that her stomach is not used to, or the cream cheese may not have been cooled enough. Her stomach then started to gurgle terribly. The result was that Lize suddenly had a terrible diarrhea attack in the middle of New York. Suddenly and uncontrollably it spurted out.

Bookstore

Fortunately, Lize was in a safe environment at the time. “I’m very glad that when I had an attack of diarrhea (probably because of this sandwich) I was in a bookstore with a toilet in it. Diarrhea in an American toilet is really terrible because it floats.”

The high water level in American toilets is due to the fact that they use a different flushing system. The disadvantage of this is that the water laps against your butt a little faster. This is a well-known phenomenon that some people may find uncomfortable, especially if you have a severe bout of diarrhea.

Wrong ticket

Lize had a terrible start to her holiday to New York, because she had the wrong name on her plane ticket and she had her money exchanged at the airport at a ridiculous rate. For her 730 euros, she only received 622 dollars, instead of 775 dollars. Nice and clever too.

Once she arrived in New York, she had a great time, except for the diarrhea attack. What she likes most so far? “The Empire State Building is a very tall building.”
