But when you experience a “magic moment”, why stop? A day after that feat, here is an even bigger one for the 21-year-old from Romagna: paired with Nuria Rodriguez, Giulia was able to eliminate the number 4 seeds Claudia Fernandez and Sofia Araujo, thus gaining access to a sensational semi-final.

In the men’s draw, a favorite of the Roman public leaves the scene: Paquito Navarro, alongside Martin Di Nenno, met the same fate as Yanguas-Stupaczuk, eliminated by the very hot Momo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo. After the scare in the round of 16, however, this time everything went smoothly for the “Chingalan”: Federico Chingotto and Ale Galan took just over three quarters of an hour to get rid of Hernandez-Collado.
