Gijp: ‘Kids like Lil Kleine are a bit mentally handicapped’ | Stars

On Friday, the Public Prosecution Service demanded a community service order of 120 hours and a suspended prison sentence of two weeks against Jorik Scholten, as the 27-year-old rapper is called in real life. He is said to have kicked and beaten a man with two others in a club on Rembrandtplein at the end of 2019.

“They are crazy people, they are not very wise”, Gijp knows. “They are a little bit mentally handicapped, those kind of boys. And there’s not much else you can do about that. They go on, they grab something once and then, gosh, that woman gets another bang for her chance. Quite a bit sad, too. If you can’t really behave in a normal way… that’s crazy, isn’t it? Isn’t that a sin?”

Sad

Gijp is happy that Lil Kleine, who released a new album on Friday, is no longer in the spotlight so often. “Fortunately, he doesn’t really get a podium anymore. That Famke Louise too. It’s so sad when you see people like that on television, it makes you so sad. That you think: yes… It makes me sad.”

To table companion Özcan Akyol: „If you would do something, I would be happy to think about it. Like: yes, why? Or so. But with Lil Kleine I have something like this: what can you say about that? Hey? It’s there. It is there.”
