German train drivers’ union calls for a new rail strike

The German train drivers’ union GDL is once again calling on employees of the state-owned company Deutsche Bahn (DB) to go on strike. The union wants the drivers to stop work from 2 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, until 6 p.m. on Monday, January 29. Trade union members of DB Cargo, responsible for freight transport, are called on to strike from 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23.
